DeepSeek-V4-Pro hits general availability with half-price off-peak rates
DeepSeek made V4-Pro generally available in its app and API, adding agent upgrades, low/high/max reasoning-effort settings, and native support for the OpenAI Responses API tuned for Codex. It also introduced peak and off-peak pricing, with off-peak rates at half price starting 16 August. For cost-sensitive teams, scheduling batch jobs off-peak can meaningfully lower spend.
