GPT-6 Sol and Luna bring Astra-era gains at about half GPT-5.6 prices
OpenAI released GPT-6 Sol ($2/$10 per million tokens) and GPT-6 Luna ($0.10/$0.50), lower-cost models that bring some of GPT-6 Astra's advances in coding, computer use and factuality at about half the price of their GPT-5.6 equivalents. Luna is also available to Free and Go ChatGPT users, and OpenAI announced better prompt caching for GPT-6 the same day. For developers, the two models are the practical default for high-volume agent and chat workloads that do not need Astra.
