Anthropic's Agent Skills let Claude load task-specific know-how only when needed
Anthropic launched Skills, folders of instructions, scripts and resources that Claude loads only when they are relevant to the task at hand. Skills work across the Claude apps, Claude Code and the API, and Anthropic provided ready-made skills for common document formats. For practitioners, they offered a lightweight, portable way to package organisation-specific procedures without spending context on unused instructions.
