OpenAI launches ChatGPT Atlas, a macOS browser built around ChatGPT

OpenAI released ChatGPT Atlas, a web browser for macOS built around ChatGPT, with a sidebar that can see the current page and optional browser memories. Paid users also got a preview of agent mode, in which ChatGPT can navigate sites and complete tasks inside the browser. For practitioners, it made agentic browsing a consumer product and raised the profile of risks such as prompt injection from web content.
